TECTA-B16 – Rapid Automated Microbiology Detection System

Tecta PDS

TECTA™ is an automated microbiological platform that uses patented Polymer Partition technology to rapidly and reliably detect E. coli, Total Coliforms, Faecal Coliforms and Enterococci contamination. Available for testing 4 or 16 samples, this platform is simple, sensitive and flexible, allowing for testing of samples at any time of the day. TECTA™ will automatically transmit data allowing for immediate notification on electronic devices, such as mobile phones or laptops, as soon as a contamination event is detected.

Applicable:

  • Environmental(Industrial)
  • Environmental(Monitoring Safety)
  • Water Monitoring
  • Water Quality Instruments
  • Laboratory (Field)

TECTA-B16 – Rapid Automated Microbiology Detection System

Overview

When regularly testing water quality you want to be certain you get the results back quickly, accurately and efficiently.

TECTA-PDS (Pathogen Detection Systems) develops fully automated, microbiology systems for performing on-site regulatory compliance testing for E. coli and Total Coliform bacteria in drinking water distribution system samples.

Our TECTA™ B16 is fully automated and can provide E. coli and Total Coliform results in 2-18 hours, depending on the level of contamination. With integrated networking capabilities, the TECTA™ B16 will provide immediate notification and early warning of positive sample results as soon as they occur. Results can be forwarded to any device including computers, tablets and smartphones.

Why Choose TECTA™?
Fast, Reliable, Accurate. The TECTA™ B16 is an automated microbiological platform that uses patented Polymer Partition technology. This platform is simple, sensitive and flexible, allowing the testing of samples at any time of the day.

The TECTA™ B16 automatically transmits the data through a network connection allowing for immediate notification on electronic devices, such as cell phone or laptops, as soon as a contamination event is detected.

The Data You Receive:
Faster E. coli and Total Coliform results. Results available in 2-18 hours depending on the level of contamination
Fully automated on-site microbiology testing
Continuous sample monitoring coupled with automated sample interpretation
Networking capabilities allow for immediate notification and early warning of positive sample results as soon as they occur
Single cell sensitivity for both E. coli and Total Coliform

Specification

Principle of Operation: Patented Polymer Partition™ test technology senses fluorescent indicator of enzyme activity of target organism, excludes water sample from optical path for high turbidity resistance.

Target Organisms:

  • Broad-spectrum E. coli (glucuronidase enzyme)
  • Total Coliforms (galactosidase enzyme)
  • Fecal Coliforms (galactosidase enzyme)

Available Tests:

  • Up to 16 simultaneous tests for E. coli, Total Coliform and Fecal Coliform presence/absence with count estimation for level of severity indication on positive results.
  • Sample Handling Manual sample acquisition with Direct-to-Test™ capability eliminates sample handling and mixing of reagents.

Range:
Dynamic range of 10^6 CFU in 100 ml without requirement for sample dilution.

Operating Modes:

  • Fully automatic interpretation and alarms, with optional remote alarms by email, or SMS message (data connection required). Automatic system confi rmation and calibration.
  • Run Mode – Incubation and interpretation in 2-18 hours.
  • Read Mode – Interpretation of pre-incubated samples in 60 seconds.

Typical Detection Times:

  • <1 CFU in 100 ml detected within 18 hrs.
  • 10^2 CFU in 100 ml detected within 12 hrs.
  • 10^4 CFU in 100 ml detected within 8 hrs.
  • 10^6 CFU in 100 ml detected within 2-4 hrs.

User Interface:
7-inch (17.7 cm) front touch-screen display controls all functions. USB port for keyboard (optional).

Power Supply:
120 VAC / 220 VAC versions available (must specify).
